About Matchday XI
Matchday XI is an independently designed and built football fan platform for the 2026 World Cup. It turns following a tournament into a game: pull illustrated player cards from free packs, build a starting XI, review every knockout result, and run private leagues with friends.
It's a solo project exploring how a card-collection loop, fantasy scoring, and social competition fit into one credible sports product — from the design system down to the data model and authentication.
